Once Patrick got home with all the groceries and I looked at the list, I realized that there wasn't a lot of prep to be done.  He, of course made a pan of salsa right away:)  We have missed it so much.  This time he used fresh tomatoes because they were on sale for 65 cents a pound!  It is MUCH tastier than using the canned diced tomatoes.

STEAK: I stuck the steak in the freezer so it would be easier to cut into thin strips (I find it nearly impossible to slice thawed meat as thin as I like it.)

PEPPERS:  Paris and I copped up a bunch of bell peppers, leaving out one red, one green and one orange for fresh salads.

I cooked all of the ground turkey and put the chicken breasts in the fridge to thaw for prepping tomorrow (I'm chopping it into cubes and sauteeing it right quick.  Then I'll bag it like the other meats:

FREEZING MEATS, VEGGIES & SAUCES:
I always try to freeze things in freezer bags in thing layers, flat on a  pan or cutting board.  Then when they're frozen, you can more easily stack them.  (See photo at the top of the post)

And Don't forget the BREAD DOUGH
If you want to use homemade bread for the pitas and as a side, don't forget to mix up a batch of the bread dough found in my bagel post, to keep in the fridge as well.  Then each day you need it, just take out how much you need for that day.
